Mike and Janet Hicks Purchased Both Restaurants in 2000 and With More Than 50 Years of Restaurant Experience Between Them, They Thought "what the Heck, Let's Give It A Try!" the Original Carolina Barbecue Restaurant Opened Its Doors Around 1980 At Hearon Circle and the Second Location Opened in 1983 On Blackstock Rd. Unfortunately Janet Passed Away in September 2010 .
